MathLibre is a project to archive open source mathematical software and free
mathematical documents and offer them on Live Linux.
MathLibre is the direct descendant of KNOPPIX/Math. We changed the base system from KNOPPIX to Debian Live. We used GitHub system for version control and collaborations. We introduce these systems in this talk.

Producing computer algebra systems and applications has been of great value in mathematical research and educational purpose. Recently, several highly interactive CAS-apps are born. In this talk, we introduce some of CAS-apps development projects that are currently going on.

The topology of spiral tilings is intimately related to the phyllotaxis theory, which studies arrangements of leaves and other organs of plants such as seeds of a sunflower. A quadrilateral spiral multiple tiling is produced by a suitable chosen triplet $(\zeta, m, n)$, where $\zeta \in \mathbb{D} \backslash \mathbb{R}$ and $m, n > 0$ are relatively prime integers. If three vertices of a quadrilateral are collinear, then it becomes a triangle. The set of generators $\zeta$ for triangular spiral multiple tilings is a union of real algebraic curves. The tilings with opposed parastichy pairs are related to continued fractions. The tilings with non-opposed parastichy pairs have a dense set of generators. Moreover, we present their origami (paper-folding) developments.

The "GFD-Dennou Club" is a group of volunteer members who belongs to various organizations. We are studying fluid part (the atmosphere, ocean, mantle, core) of Earth and Planets, and have been performing development and publication of software for research and education. In this talk, I introduce our purpose and activities, as an example of development group of free software for research and education.

DG(Descriptive Geometry) had been introduced as introductory education of manufacturing in Japan. After development of CAD/CG technologies, objective of DG education seems to be changing from manufacturing to utilization of drawings themselves. On the other hand, new manufacturing approaches, geometrical designing methods are also proposed in this field recently. This lecture presents some methods for developable surfaces designing making use of CG freeware, 'POV-Ray'. Examples of DG education classes introducing such methods are also explained in the lecture.
