Abstracts

  • 13:00-13:50 “A TeXnical Typesetting in the Publishing Work Flow”, KIEDA, Yusuke (Seikando Documentations)
    • We explain introduction of the reality of the typesetting work using TeX as a business, as one of a process by a publication workflow to the manuscript edited in particular.
  • 14:10-15:00 “An Introduction to the R Statistical Environment for computing”, OKADA, Masafumi (University Hospital Medical Information, Network Research Center, University of Tokyo Hospital)
    • The R language is widely used for data science as a de-fact standard. In this talk, I will look back the R’s history briefly and introduce some new technologies that affects penetration of R, such as R markdown, tidyverse, and shiny.
  • 15:20-16:10 “Web applications for a small calculation”, TAKAMURA, Masahi (Aoyama Gakuin University School of Social Informatics)
  • 16:30-17:20 “Complex dynamics and its visualization”, INOU, Hiroyuki (Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University)
    • Computer pictures of the Mandelbrot set and Julia sets have been playing a very important role in the study of complex dynamics in one variable. In this talk, we first explain how one can see various properties in complex dynamics from these pictures. Then we would like to present a recent attempt to visualize fractal objects in complex two dimensional space, which naturally appear in complex dynamics, with recent VR devices.
